Tips on updating direct debits, direct credits and scheduled payments

It is a good idea to check that regular/scheduled payments that were set up in Hunter United’s internet banking have been brought across successfully to IMB.

To do this, log into IMB Internet Banking from 22 May and go to the ‘Transfers & BPAY’ section and selecting ‘Pending Payments’. Please contact us on 1800 370 773 with any questions or concerns.

IMB Bank will continue to process any debits or credits on accounts using the old Hunter United BSB and your old account numbers until 31 July 2021, to provide as much time as possible to make these changes.

Try using the IMB Switching Pack

There are many ways you can make the changes to your regular payments - via email, in person, online and over the phone.

The easiest way to identify all regular payments is by reviewing bank statements, in Internet Banking.

To help make the changes, we have developed a Switching Pack which will help identify all the payments linked to Hunter United accounts.

Below are some examples of the types of organisations you may need to contact to update your bank account and payment details:

  • Centrelink - for a guide on how to update account details online with Centrelink or via
  • Express Plus Centrelink mobile app, visit www.servicesaustralia.gov.au and search ‘manage where your payments are sent’. For Veteran Gold Card holders, call Services Australia on 132 300 to update bank account details.
  • Employer - Salary/wage payments
  • Self-managed super fund - payments or pension payments
  • Medicare - for rebates
  • ATO - tax or BAS payments
  • Insurers - General, Health and Life insurance payments and rebates
  • Apple, Google, Paypal, Amazon, Ebay and other online merchants
  • Streaming services payments e.g., Netflix, Stan, Amazon Prime, Disney+
  • Organisations from whom you receive dividends or investment income
  • Other financial institutions (e.g. banks) with whom you have established regular payments
  • Organisations of which you are a member - Gym and sports clubs payments
  • Utilities – payments for gas, electricity, phone
  • Internet and mobile service providers
