Changes to Direct Debits, Direct Credits and Scheduled Payments

Because all account identifiers have changed – with a new BSB and account number, it is possible you will have direct debits and/or direct credits going in and out of your account/s that will need to be updated, from 22 May.

Types of payments that DON’T need to be updated

The following payments will be automatically moved to your new IMB account numbers, so these won’t require any action from you:

  • Scheduled payments you have set up to pay your Hunter United loan from your Hunter United account
  • Any scheduled payments you have already set up from your Hunter United Internet Banking profile.

You should check which payments you have scheduled in Internet Banking by logging in and going to the ‘Scheduled Payments’ section (see screen shot below).

Types of payments that DO need to be updated

If you have other payments that go in and out of your Hunter United account/s as direct debits or credits, and those payments don’t appear in your Hunter United Internet Banking ‘Scheduled Payments’ list, you will need to contact those organisations to provide them with your new account details - either the IMB BSB and account number/s or your new IMB Visa Debit Card details.

Payments linked to your Hunter United card need to be updated between 22nd May and 31st May 2021. All other payments need to be updated between 22 May and 31 July. These payments need to be updated between 22 May and 31 July. They cannot be updated before 22 May because your new account numbers will not be active until then.

Any direct debits, direct credits and scheduled payments that are not updated by 31 July will not be processed and may attract fees from third parties.
