Members Start to Benefit from Merger with IMB Bank

1 May 2020 marks the beginning of a new era as we merge with IMB Bank. Please click here for a welcome message from IMB CEO, Rob Ryan.

Members will start to enjoy the following benefits immediately.

Transaction fees will be removed on the following Hunter United transaction account products

  • On-Call Savings Account
  • VIP Account
  • E-zynet Direct
  • Cash Management
  • First Home Saver
  • Business Transaction Account
  • Business Cash Management Account

The monthly account keeping fee on Hunter United deposit accounts will be removed

  • You may know this as the ‘Ezy Fee’ which is currently $5 per month

The monthly account keeping fee on Hunter United loan accounts (both home and personal) will be removed

  • This is currently $8 per month

Eligible Hunter United home loan customers will receive a rate reduction

  • Members who held a current loan contract for a variable rate home loan with Hunter United prior to May 1, 2020 will receive a 10bps rate reduction off that loan
  • Eligible members will receive a letter confirming the new rate and repayment amount

Eligible Hunter United personal loan customers will receive a rate reduction

  • Members who held a current loan contract for a variable rate personal loan with Hunter United prior to May 1, 2020 will receive a 10bps rate reduction off that loan

Eligible Hunter United term deposit customers will receive a rate increase

  • Members who held a current term deposit with Hunter United prior to May 1, 2020 will be entitled to an additional 10bps on the advertised rate at the next or any subsequent roll over or re-investment which occurs within 12 months of the merger date

Importantly, you will be able to continue to bank with us in the same ways as you did previously with the same internet banking, same payment services, same direct debits, and the same member numbers. Our wonderful staff will also continue to serve you via our branch network.

Over the next 6-9 months we will be working on integrating our banking systems with IMB. When systems integration is complete, members of Hunter United will then be able to access all IMB bank channels including branches and online services for their Hunter United products. Members will also have access to a wider array of products from IMB including mobile payments such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Android Pay, Garmin Pay, and Fitbit Pay.
